An impact on daily life
"Nearly half of working people (45%) say that noise at work has at least some impact on their ears in their daily lives." This finding is more pronounced among those under 35 (52%).
Discomfort due to noise exposure
"33% of workers report difficulty understanding speech and 30% report ringing or buzzing in their ears due to noise exposure."
Resulting fatigue
"60% and 50% of respondents in this Ifop study mention “fatigue, weariness and irritability” and stress due to noise exposure at work."

Psychological distress
Psychological distress is very much present, affecting 31% of workers, 61% of whom are often bothered by noise at work. The main causes are said to be misunderstandings with management, tensions and aggression within teams.
Insufficient solutions
Although progress seems to be being made in the industrial and construction sectors, the implementation of solutions remains largely limited. Awareness-raising initiatives remain stable and limited. However, employees are willing to work with their employers to create interior designs that incorporate plants and other natural elements. This could contribute to a better atmosphere, reduce stress and create a healthier environment through the use of appropriate indoor plants.
